But worth for a quick short trip for once in a lifetime experience. Unique experience, to come again, maybe no. Absolutely 5 stars from me, I would love to come back and do all the additional things we wanted to do (and never ride a scooter again!) … Obviously, we were devastated that we couldn't make the most of the day trips and experiences we were looking forward to, but it just means that we have an excuse to return to this magical place. Elia, the GM, personally came to our room once we had returned from hospital, to make sure that we were ok and to offer any support they could. We were unfortunate enough to be in a scooter accident on our third day at the resort (absolutely our own fault - we knew the risk and we paid for it!!) and all of the staff were so accommodating and concerned about my partner and I. We stayed in a Treehouse villa, and personally I think these are better than the beach front ones (but this is a personal opinion!!) The food is absolutely delicious and while it's a little more expensive than you would pay on the mainland - it's worth it! They have an excellent range of local dishes as well as some Western comfort food. The attention to detail is fabulous, and all of the staff are so friendly and outgoing. This is a truly magical resort and you will not regret staying here. So whilst we have thoroughly enjoyed our stay we feel a little let down by this element. We asked about the dining on the beach but we're told we had to pay extra for it. A bottle of fizz in the room would have been a nice touch. Even the smell of the room is wonderful, which you can buy to take home!! We have absolutely loved every single second, even the Thai massage!! The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is that we are here celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and, unfortunately this hasn't been acknowledged at all, even though the hotel are aware. The rooms are spotless, the bed so comfortable, so much effort has gone into making the villas perfect. The breakfast is amazing, the food at the restaurant on the beach is amazing, I truly can't use any other word than amazing. This place is absolutely amazing, it looks even better in real life than it does on the photos, just stunning and so peaceful.
